The Hotel Room: A Photo Essay

A few weekends ago my family took a trip to Eugene, OR to visit friends. Josh and the other husband took a golf outing one morning, so the boys and I hung at the hotel for a relaxing morning. I realized I hadn't had my camera out for personal purposes recently, so I decided to start and complete a quick project that weekend, The Hotel Room. It turned into my first real photo essay. My only goal when taking these photos was to get out of my comfort zone, which I certainly did. I will be completely honest with you. I am really happy with and surprised by these photos. But they couldn't be more "me".

This was also my first time getting to really play and experiment with my 24 L. It's love, no question about it. (All images were taken with my 5D Mark III, 24 L, and edited in Lightroom with my presets.)

A mom with her camera, two boys, and a hotel room.
